Healthy Yogurt

Looking for good healthy yogurt is tough. The lower the fat, the greater the sugar. And lowfat, low-sugar yogurts usually taste chalky/awful.

siggi's "Icelandic style skyr strained non-fat yogurt" is creamy delicious, has no fat, and minimal sugar. Interesting flavorings, too, e.g. orange/ginger.

Why live under the tyranny of what the mass market wants to sell you? Slightly less portable, but take 3/4c of your favorite plain yogurt (Fage or Brown Cow or 7 Stars are nice) and add 1 Tbsp of your favorite jam (I like strawberry-rhubarb) or marmalade (did I hear TJ's triple citrus?). Mix. Yum.

Yes, makes sense. But skyr also has a lovely texture those others don't match. Check it out if you get a chance.

Your point is well-taken on conventional low-fat yogurt, however. We can flavor (and slightly sweeten) better than "they" can...
