Yesterday's NY Times included a wonderful article by Mattathias Schwartz on online trolls.
And the Times' ever droll and insightful Virginia Heffernan blogged about it, leading with a David Hume quote that also illuminates my point in my Knol entry (three down from this one) about how anonymity emboldens bad behavior on Wikipedia.
